THE MEETING OF THE STEERING
COMMITTEE OF RCH
On
April 16, 2007 in Bishkek, Kirghiz Republic has taken place the
meeting of the Steering Committee of RCH, in which have taken
part the representatives of NHMS of the Central Asian countries
and the Executive Committee of IFAS. Within the framework of the
meeting were considered five questions:

on Regional Center of Hydrology of the Central Asian
countries activity for 2006;
-
on development of the draft agreement between RCH branches
of the CA states in the area of the efficient
hydrometeorological data communication and production;
-
on «Hydrological Cycle Observing in the Aral Sea Basin
(Aral- HYCOS)» project;
-
on cooperation with «Central Asian Regional Water Sector
Information Base (CAREWIB)» project;
-
on date of carrying out and the agenda of the next 4-th
meeting of the Steering Committee of RCH.
The
participants of the meeting have discussed all present questions
and have made appropriate decisions. In particular, on issue «
on Hydrological Cycle Observing in the Aral Sea Basin (Aral-
HYCOS) project», the information on which has presented the
Acting Chairman of the Executive Committee of IFAS Mr. Rahimov
S.N., the participants have noted a good preparation of the
project document and the necessity of implementation of this
project for the potential strengthening of the NHMS of the
Central Asian states and improvement of system of
hydrometeorological observations. On discussions results the
participants have approved the «Aral- HYCOS» project with
insignificant additions and requested to the Executive Committee
of IFAS to submit it for consideration to the members of the
IFAS Board. |
