During the existence of the International Fund for saving the Aral Sea have been accepted many decisions on the current and perspective problems of the Fund, directed on improvement of social and economic situations, stabilization of environment condition, perfection of the methods of water and ground resources management  of the Aral Sea Basin, etc. by Heads of the Central Asian States  and the Governments of the region countries.

The Heads of the Central Asian States  have accepted Nukus (1995), Almaty (1997), Ashgabat (1999) and Dushanbe (2002) Declarations on problems of the Aral Sea Basin,  approved "The Program of concrete actions on improvement of environments in the Aral Sea Basin" (ASBP-1) (1994) and "Program of concrete actions on improvement of environmental and socio-economic situation in the Aral Sea Basin for the period 2003-2010" (ASBP-2) (2002), approved Regulation of IFAS (1999), etc. The Governments of the countries had been made the Agreement about the status of the International Fund for saving the Aral Sea and its organizations (1999), etc.
