The workshop on carrying out the analysis of the existing situation in Kazakhstan was held as part of the project “Capacity building in data administration for assessing transboundary water resources in the countries EECCA”.

As part of the interim evaluation phase of the "CAREWIB" project the meeting of the Steering Committee for project implementation was held in Tashkent. The Steering Committee is presented by the Swiss Agency for Cooperation, financing the project activities, and structural bodies of IFAS - the Executive Committee and the Secretariat ICWC.

The project “Capacity building in data administration for assessing transboundary water resources in the countries of Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia (EECCA)” is developed within the implementation activities of the UNECE “Convention on the Protection and Use of Transboundary Watercourses and International Lakes”. 

The working meeting within the project proposal of France and the UN ECE - “Strengthening capacity for data administration and exchange for monitoring and assessment of transboundary water resources in Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia (EECCA)” was held in the office of the Executive Committee IFAS.

The project proposal was developed by the International Office of Water with involvement of International Water Assessment Centre and the French Ministry of ecology, energy, sustainable development and sea, within the framework of activities covered by the Convention on the Protection and Use of Transboundary Watercourses and International Lakes (UN ECE).
