The economic growth, health and security of South and Central Asia are vulnerable to changes in future water supplies due to a variety of factors from forms and rates of water usage to climate change’s effect on glacier dynamics and monsoon patterns.
The goal of the workshop is to share information on how USAID investments will be impacted by glacier melt and water security and identify synergies and areas of collaboration within and between each country.
USAID recognizes the need to proactively address the water security and climate-related water challenges in the region. This workshop provides a rare opportunity to share information and strategize on potential areas of collaboration in order to maximize impact of respective efforts on the issue.
