Regional seminar "Development of sustainable partnerships in the management of water resources in Central Asia: the Experience from Programme on Transboundary Water Resources Management"

31 October - 1 November in Almaty a seminar-discussion of experiences gained within the Programme of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) on Transboundary Water Resources Management is held.

 

The following directions are covered:

 

Facilitate regional institutional cooperation

 

Cross-border cooperation on small rivers

 

Basin planning and management of data in support of IWRM

 

Support water-users in remote rural areas

 

Safe and stable operation of hydraulic structures

 

Effective management of irrigation and drainage waters
